Why work with me?
... because I’ve lived it too.
When it’s helpful, I’ll share parts of my story so you know you’re not alone and so you know I really get it.
I’m a straight-talking, trauma-informed therapist: I don’t sit in silence and I don’t judge.
I name behaviour for what it is: emotional abuse, gaslighting, coercive control, psychological manipulation.
What I Bring to Sessions:
-
Validation and lived understanding
-
Trauma education — explained simply
-
Reframing shame-based narratives
-
Breathing, grounding, and body-based awareness
-
Parenting support (where relevant)
-
Honest challenge when needed
I’ll also swear, use humour, and throw in some sarcasm where it fits. I’ll call out the bullshit.
When therapy works, it’s fucking hard and I have huge respect for anyone willing to do the work.
Clients often say therapy with me has been life-changing because I believe you, I validate your experience, and I help you start to build trust in yourself.
I don’t just rehash the past; we focus on how those experiences still impact you now.

Counselling with Me Can Help You:
-
Choose healing on your terms
-
Start to trust yourself after gaslighting or abuse
-
Understand what’s happened — and how it still shows up
-
Connect with your voice, needs, and boundaries
-
Break cycles — in love, family, friendships, or parenting
-
Decide if low contact, no contact, or staying is right for you
-
Process guilt, shame, and fear that aren’t yours to carry
There’s no rigid agenda here. We move at your pace, with honesty, warmth, and zero judgement.
If you’re considering going no contact with family or low contact with a toxic partner, or you’re trying to repair a relationship, I’ll support you without pushing an outcome.
Some clients reconnect once they’ve found their voice; others go no contact far sooner than expected, once the fog lifts.
Healing is messy and uncomfortable. But that’s where change begins — when you finally start living by your own damn rules.
