Hey, I'm Kathy (she / her)
I’ve been a counsellor for over 13 years, and for the past two, I’ve specialised in narcissistic abuse recovery, emotional abuse counselling, and support for survivors of coercive control.
I work with people who’ve experienced narcissistic traits like:
-
Grandiosity: an exaggerated sense of one’s importance, abilities, or achievements
-
Need for admiration: constant craving for validation or praise
-
Entitlement: believing they deserve special treatment without earning it
-
Lack of empathy: the inability or refusal to understand or care about others’ feelings
-
Exploitation: using or manipulating others for personal gain
I bring not just professional experience, but lived understanding — which makes therapy with me hit differently. I grew up in a highly toxic, narcissistic family. I raised my son as a working single parent for the first 15 years of his life, with money beyond tight. I know what it’s like to juggle survival while trying to heal, grow, and show up for others when you’re barely holding it together yourself.

I’m LGBTQIA+ friendly and trained in trauma-informed counselling, psychotherapy, yoga therapy, and I’m currently training in EFT therapy (Emotional Freedom Technique). Both yoga therapy and EFT focus on how trauma and emotions live in the body, not just the mind.
I work online only, which means you can access therapy wherever you are. And yes, you might hear a dog bark now and then; I live in Keynsham (between Bristol and Bath), with my wife, my now-adult child, and a small pack of rescue dogs.
My wife was recently diagnosed with AuDHD (Autism + ADHD), which has been a rollercoaster of learning, unlearning, and figuring shit out together.
When I’m not working, I’m usually in my pyjamas, walking the dogs, or curled up with them at home.
If you’re ready to stop surviving, start understanding - and maybe even thrive — I’ve got you.
Are you in a toxic or abusive relationship — or stuck questioning if you are?
It’s time to cut through the chaos, find your voice, and stop putting up with other peoples shit. That’s what 1:1 online counselling with me is all about
Are you stuck in a relationship where past trauma fuels repeated conflict, miscommunication, emotional shutdowns, or reactive patterns?
Even though you both want things to work?
