Couples Therapy
Couples Counselling for Trauma, Toxic Patterns & Healing
Maybe one or both of you experienced childhood abuse or neglect, or have a history of toxic relationships that still impact how you connect today. That trauma doesn’t just disappear.
I help couples recognise and identify trauma responses playing out in your relationship, spot toxic patterns without shame, and understand how you’re triggering each other.
Together, we work on breaking those cycles, building healthier boundaries, improving communication, and honestly deciding whether to grow together or part respectfully.
The beauty of couples counselling is that I witness how you relate in real time. I don’t take sides - I support both of you to move toward a healthier future.
This work isn’t about blaming each other. It’s about getting honest, healing old wounds, and choosing what’s next with clarity, whether that means rebuilding trust or moving on.

How Couples Counselling Works
We start with a joint session where I’ll guide you through questions to understand your relationship and what’s brought you to therapy.
If we agree to move forward, the next steps are:
-
Session 2: Individual session with Partner A
-
Session 3: Individual session with Partner B
-
Session 4: Joint session with both partners again
These four sessions allow me to complete a full assessment of your dynamic, hear each of your histories and perspectives, and begin supporting meaningful change from both sides.
What you share in individual sessions stays confidential. Full stop.

What You’ll Gain
Couples therapy with me is a chance to understand yourselves and each other on a deeper level. It’s about creating a relationship that works for both of you.
Whether you want to rebuild trust, break toxic cycles, or decide if staying together is right, I’ll help you get there.
Couples counselling is hard work. It takes commitment, honesty, and willingness to keep working through toxic traits and old wounds.
But the payoff is worth it: healthier connection, clearer boundaries, and the ability to choose your future, together or apart.
